What Enroad is
Enroad records the drives you already take, so you can look back on where you went. You climb our leaderboards by covering more ground, and by nothing else. Because “driving app” can mean a lot of different things, here is exactly what we do — and what we don't.
What it is, and what it isn't
What it is
What it isn't
What it is
A record of drives you already take
Every drive is saved as a route on a map you can open again later.
What it isn't
Not a reason to drive differently
The commute counts the same as a weekend run. Nothing changes because it is being recorded.
What it is
Ranked on how much you drive
Every board is a total you add to by driving. Nobody starts ahead of you.
What it isn't
Not a contest between cars
No board measures what your car can do. Ground covered is the only thing that moves you up.
What it is
How long you were on the road
A drive has a duration, the way any trip does. It is a number on a summary, not a target.
What it isn't
Not a timed run
There is no launch timing, no stopwatch and no lap clock. Nothing in the app times you against a target.
What it is
Starts itself, then stays out of the way
Auto-start records from the moment you drive off until you park, with no taps at all. You can also start it by hand before you pull away.
What it isn't
Not something to touch on the road
Nothing in the app needs a tap once you are moving. Starting and stopping belong to the parked minutes at either end.
What it is
A recap at the end of every month
Once a month Enroad turns your driving into a card you can save or share.
What it isn't
Nothing to win by driving harder
Driving further, and more often, is the only thing that moves you up. Elevation, braking, turns and stops are there to describe the drive, never to score it.
What the boards rank
Four things, and this is the whole list: total area held, all-time distance, longest single ride, and trophies earned. Every one of them goes up the same way — by driving.
There is no performance board, and there is no performance trophy. We took those out on purpose. Nothing in the app asks you to beat a number.
Each board can be read against your friends, your city, your country or the whole world.
Driving comes first
This is the first thing every driver sees, before they can record anything:
- Obey local traffic laws and posted limits. Never drive recklessly.
- Start and stop recording only while safely parked.
- Use a phone holder, just like with any navigation app.
- Never touch your phone while driving. Eyes on the road.
You are solely responsible for your driving.
